Reading is at the heart of the curriculum. We aim to teach children to become confident and competent readers by learning how to word read and by developing comprehension skills which they can apply across the curriculum as well as developing a life-long love of reading for pleasure. Parents are actively encouraged to be involved in their child's reading journey through their time at school.

PURPOSE
A child's reading skills are important to their success in school as they will allow them to access the breadth of the curriculum and improve their communication and language skills. Also, reading can be a fun and imaginative time for children, which open doors to all kinds of new worlds for them.

MY RESEARCH
I observed my students, that while reading text they are getting into trouble and they are unable to read correctly. So I decided to know the factors what was the problem that they are facing and why they are unable to read correctly.
I conducted a face to face survey to my students and I posed a few questions to them.
Questions to students;
1.Are you able to read a simple sentence?
2.If no, what is the reason?
    (A) Lack of practice.
    (B)Difficulty to my standard.
3. Do you have sufficient practice in your
previous classes?
4. Does your English teacher give you enough practice?
Questions to colleagues:
1. Is it in your language, are the students can read the sentences or not?
2. Do you give enough practice to the students in Reading?
3. Do you follow the language clubs?
Questions to my self:
1. Why they are unable to read correctly?
2. Am I reading correctly to the students?

ACTION PLAN:
From the above data which I collected from my students and colleagues, I came to know some facts about the students why they are unable to read correctly.
I involved 10 students in the survey, from the only four pupils, are unable to read because of lack of practice and the text was difficult to their standards. Some pupils told us that they don't have sufficient practice for them.
And coming to my colleague's statements 90 per cent of their students can read their respective languages, and they have stated 70 per cent of the teachers are giving enough practice to their students to read.

MY CONCLUSION
I posed a few questions to my self and I want to follow the following points while reading text to students.
1. I read carefully and deliberately.
2. Re-read for mistakes and content.
3. Be patient with unfamiliar words.
4. Ask the students to re- read.
5. Read the text both look and don't look at the text.

                      Thank you.
